AppleEase is a set of two system 7 utilities (AppleEaseIn & AppleEaseOut). They are a complementary pair that make dealing with System 7's AppleMenu much easer.
These utilities are things that I personally found a need for I hope you will also.
AppleEaseIn
===========
If you drag an application or document onto the AppleEaseIn Icon (I keep mine on the desktop next to the trash) an Alias of the file will Appear in the Apple Menu.
If you hold down the <Command> Key an Alias will be put in the Startup Folder.
If you hold down the <Option> Key an Alias will be put on the Desktop.
If you hold down the <Return> Key an Alias will be put in the System Folder.
If you hold down the <Tab> Key an Alias will be put in the Prefs Folder.
If you hold down the <Control> Key an Alias will be put in the Control Panels Folder.
If you hold down the <ESC> Key an Alias will be put in the Extensions Folder.
If you hold down the <Delete> Key an Alias will be put in the Trash (Why? Who Knows?)
Also
If you hold down the <shift> key while doing any of the above it will try to put the Original File in the proper place listed above. (NOTE: this will not work across disks, if you want the original file to go to the proper place it must be on the startup volume)
(OTHER NOTE: if you drag an alias to the AppleEaseIn icon and hold down the <shift> key THE ORIGINAL FILE will go to the proper place NOT THE ALIAS)
AppleEaseOut
============
AppleEaseOut is an INIT (Er, thats Extension in Apple's newspeak) so in order to use it you must load it into the Extensions folder (inside the system folder) and restart your macintosh. With AppleEaseOut installed you can select an item from the AppleMenu with the <option> key pressed and it will be removed from the AppleMenu out to the Desktop.
NOTE: AppleEaseOut only works from the Finder, not while in other programs

Version 1.0 was released on October 7 th 1991
Version 1.1 fixed the AppleEaseIn Desktop positioning bug.
Version 1.2 fixed all known AppleEaseOut bugs that caused it to not load properly
Version 1.3 AppleEase now works with Folders & Disks.
Version 1.4 Fixed the AppleEaseOut bug that caused problems with AfterDark & other programs. Also added Several Command keys for AppleEaseIn.

While I retain the rights to AppleEaseIn & AppleEaseOut these utilities are absolutely free to any individual. All I ask is that you let me know what you think of AppleEase.
Any educational institution or business can use them as long as they inform me that they are doing so.
